Jerrold E. Hogle is University Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of Arizona. The winner of prestigious research fellowships, he has published extensively on English Romantic literature, literary theory and the Gothic. His books include The Undergrounds of The Phantom of the Opera and The Cambridge Companion to Gothic Fiction.
