About the Author

Mary Dixon was born in 1927 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the loving mother of four children, and for most of her adult life, was as a single parent who worked hard to provide a safe and secure home.
Mary’s hobbies included writing poetry, drawing, and arts and crafts. She especially enjoyed the Christmas season, and that is when she would shine with her arts and crafts. She couldn’t afford expensive gifts so she would make special Christmas gifts, which included homemade candles, wooden boxes to keep some prized collections in, wall decorations, a tabletop town to play with Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars—and also this delightful story.
It was always Mary’s dream to have this wonderful story of Christmas Tree Valley published in the 1970s. Mary wrote this story more than forty years ago, and it has been read every Christmas since. Jesus took her hand in the spring of 2005. It is the wish of her family that this magical story of Christmas Tree Valley touches your heart as it has touched theirs over the years.
