About the Author

Robert White is Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Oklahoma, Norman. He previously served as Application Chemist for Mattson Instruments, Inc., Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. White is the author or coauthor of numerous journal articles, abstracts, and presentation papers in the area of infrared analysis, and has three U.S. Patent Applications. He is a member of the American Chemical Society, Society for Applied Spectroscopy, Coblentz Society, and Phi Lambda Upsilon Honorary Chemical Society (Rho Chapter). Dr. White received the B.S. degree (1978) in chemistry from Purdue University, Hammond, Indiana, and Ph.D. degree (1982) in chemistry from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
