Overview

One of the problems in our society today is that no-one is exempt from communicating with an addict. All of us are one degree of separation from knowing someone who suffers from addiction. Addicts are in our families, the workplace, our neighborhoods, and even in the mirror. At some point you have dealt with, or are currently dealing with, an individual who suffers from addiction or behavioral issues.

This guide was created for the non-addict, or the Normie, who desires better communication in relationships with the addict. It also lends tremendous weight to overcoming codependency; both in how codependency affects our ability to function solely on own or how easily we can get lost in someone else’s dysfunction.

Addictive behavior creates complications in our lives. Normies face a spectrum of challenges from creating boundaries, to loving the addict, to having simple conversations. Relationships between addicts and Normies become paradoxical when two opposing minds of logic clash and both parties become emotionally overwhelmed. This ultimately results in exhaustion and defeat.

Discover how Normies D.E.A.L. with addicts and addictive behavior. Gain further insight by introducing yourself to the complicated world of addiction through a professional lens. Moreover, experience the sensitive and personal accounts shared by those who continue to negotiate ways to learn, love, and live a peaceful existence with the addict.
