Overview

Sera Ashton is a 24-year-old screenwriter signed with her soon-to-be husband Don's agency, Algiani Agency.  For years she has tolerated his abuse and supported his business, but when Don's family's corporation, Algiani Corp., begins to advertise new products that supposedly promote success and vitality, Sera smells something fishy. After a major fight with Don, Sera goes on a journey of self-discovery and recovery from her abuse, but the race to the finish line isn't an easy one. First, she must go head to head with her ex-fiancé in a battle of wits and supernatural abilities. Will she overcome her insecurity after years of being mistreated, or will she become just another sacrifice to the gods and demons of Hollywood?

About the Author

Kay Isa Peck is a freelance writer, illustrator, and self-publisher. She is the owner of her small business, “Kay’s Creations Art and Publishing Co.,” which she runs out of her home. Kay is the author of two poetry collections: “Reflections: Who We Are and How We Heal” and “Welcome to Splitsville,” both of which are now available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble’s website. Her current projects are a children’s book about Bipolar Disorder and how to ask for help and a podcast that she runs with her father- “Dad and Kay, Talk This Way.” Kay wishes to eventually turn the children’s book into an animated feature. A rescue mother of a pug, Asha, and a fat cat, Hector, Kay enjoys writing poetry and short essays, singing, and songwriting in her free time. She is also a musician, and she hopes that someday she will be able to mobilize her art and publishing company to accommodate her traveling for music and performances.
