About the Author

James Henry Taylor was born and reared in Rhode Island, then moved to small-town Missouri in the early '80s. After a couple of years doing research on the formation of ice crystals in clouds, he joined the faculty at the University of Central Missouri, where he has been teaching physics for the last 25 years. During that time he has written more than forty pieces of short fiction; a few fall into the realm of science fiction or fantasy, but the majority are harder to pin down. Two collections of his stories have been published by small presses, the most recent being an abecediary: "Everyday Wonder, or, The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog."
