Cooking with Ancient Grains
Have you ever wanted to learn how to replace unhealthy ingredients with healthy ingredients in the recipes that you use each day to get the maximum nutritional value from the foods that you prepare for yourself and your family? Well, this cookbook has done just that for you! Laura has spent the past few decades searching out the healthiest, basic ingredients available today in her own kitchen to develop this cookbook. Now, you can gain from her experience while learning how to make no-knead breads, naturally-leavened breads, healthy snacks and nourishing entrees using the same, organically grown, low-gluten, no-gluten, high-fiber, nutrient-dense, ancient grains that our ancestors used including einkorn, emmer, spelt, buckwheat, oats, quinoa, wild rice and more. You will also learn how to prepare grains using traditional methods such as grinding, soaking, sprouting and fermenting. These simple methods will actually increase the availability of digestive enzymes and life-giving nutrients in the foods that you prepare. Once you get accustomed to using these methods, you will find that they only add minutes to your busy schedule and may even save you time compared to driving to fast-food restaurants. And, rather than spending more money on your monthly food budget, you might even find that you are actually spending less by buying unprocessed grains in bulk rather than processed foods in packages. At the same time, you and your family may even be able to avoid some of the devastating illnesses that are caused by the increase of deadly toxins and decrease of life-giving nutrients found in our modern diets. As you are learning how to use ancient grains and traditional methods of preparing them, you will also learn why you should add other natural, wholesome ingredients to your daily diet including cage-free eggs, grass-fed meats, non-hydrogenated oils, wholesome sweeteners and Himalayan salt. On the other hand, you will also learn why you should avoid unnatural, unwholesome ingredients like battery-raised eggs, feed-lot beef, seed oils, hydrogenated oils, refined sugars and high-sodium salt.

About the Author

About The Author
Laura McBride is the proud mother of four homeschooled sons and grandmother of ten homeschooled grandchildren. She is also the author of four books and a set of pre-school curriculum. Her other books include "Hidden Mountain, the key to America's past" and "What they don't want you to know about the Coronavirus and COVID-19 Vaccines." Her passions just happen to be watching her grandchildren grow up, hiking and bike riding with her sons, cooking healthy foods and writing books. Two of those passions came together in the development of this cookbook.

Laura's son, Daniel Blake Cordova, is the amazing artist who is responsible for the illustrations and photos for this book. Daniel first showed an interest in drawing when he was three years old and has been drawing ever since. Daniel began attending Pensacola Christian College in 1996. During the time that he was there, he majored in art and helped illustrate several textbooks for Abeka Books. Prior to graduation, he also illustrated a book called, Unlocking the Mysteries of Creation, which was written by Dennis Petersen. Daniel graduated from Pensacola with a master’s degree in graphic designing. Currently, he is working as a graphic designer from his home in the Sierra Foothills. He is also the pastor of a Calvary Church where he and his wife, Erin, also lead worship. Together, they are raising their five, beautiful children.
