K-Gr 1-A first-grade teacher challenges her class to count to 10 in one second. None are able to do it, until they work together and come up with the idea of counting by twos. Large print and lots of repetition of sight words make this title suitable for early readers. The multiethnic classroom is shown in full-color cartoons, some on spreads. The second book contains only nine sight words, and introduces the lyrics to the traditional song. Colorful creatures illustrate the action by tumbling, swinging, and jumping while clearly indicating the appropriate body part.
