About the Author

Hannelore Vanderschmidt, PhD, EdM, served as Co-Director of the Center for Educational Development in Health at Boston University 1984-2012. She was a member of the BU School of Public Health faculty in the Department of International Health and Social and Behavioral Sciences 1976-2012.

Ascher J. Segall MD, DrPH holds a doctorate in epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health and an MD from University of Lausanne, School of Medicine. He has been Co-Director of the Center for Educational Development at BU School of Public Health since 1976. Dr. Segall was Chief Medical Officer Health Manpower Research at the WHO in Geneva, Switzerland 1984-1988.

Domenic Screnci, EdD is the Executive Director for Educational Technology, Training and Outreach at Boston University, serving as an educational technologist, instructional designer and a producer of curriculum materials. Dr. Screnci has a Master’s degree in Educational Media & Technology and a Doctorate in Curriculum & Teaching.
