• Bernat Vickie Howell Sheep(ish) Stripes medium (worsted) weight acrylic/wool yarn (2½ oz/137 yds/70g per ball):

3 balls #0001 punk(ish)

• Sizes K/10½/6.5mm and N/P-15/10mm crochet hooks or size needed to obtain gauge

• Tapestry needle


Gauge

Size K hook: 10 sc = 4 inches; 9 pattern rows = 4 inches

Gauge is not important for this project.


Pattern Note

Weave in ends as work progresses.


Shawl

Row 1 (RS): With size K hook, ch 164, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each rem ch across, turn. (163 sc)

Row 2: With size N/P hook and working in front lps(see illustration), ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] across, turn.

Row 3: With size K hook and working in back lps(see illustration), ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch across, turn. (163 sc)

Row 4: With size N/P hook and working in front lps, ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] across, turn.

Row 5: With size N/P hook and working in front lps, ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 1, sk next ch sp, sc in next st] across, turn.

Row 6: With size N/P hook and working in back lps, ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 1, sk next ch sp, sc in next st] across, turn.

Row 7: With size K hook and working in back lps, ch 1, sc in each st and in each ch across, turn. (163 sc)

Row 8: With size N/P hook and working in front lps, ch 1, sc in first st, [ch 1, sk next st, sc in next st] across, turn.

Rows 10–25 or to desired width: [Rep rows 2–9 consecutively] twice or as many times as needed.

Row 26: With size K hook and working in ends of rows, ch 1, sc evenly sp across. Fasten off.

Row 27: With size K hook and working in ends of rows on opposite end of Shawl, join with sc in end of first row, sc evenly sp across. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Wrap

Row 2: Ch 3, shell in ch-2 sp of each shell across, turn.

Rep row 2 until piece measures 60 inches from beg or desired length. At end of last row, fasten off.
