Overview

Has organized faith run amok in America? Has its desire to retain iron age myths surpassed our need as people to progress into the future? Are these beliefs more important than scientific advancements in biology and medicine? Some seem to think so. These people are known as the Religious Right. In Crusade, C. Allen Thompson takes an excursion into the origins of faith, the founding of America, and where America lost its way as the world's first secular nation, why the future of America depends on compromising these myths with modern findings and allowing reality to take precedence over myth, and how modern science has not only come under the breath of denial, but under violent attack, because of man's need to hold onto the beliefs of yesterday, in lieu of the revelations of today.
