About the Author

The Author is a retired naval officer with ten years sea time. Five of those years were on wooden ships. He has been studying and writing about the Civil War navies for twenty years.
The author also spends his time using his experiences for the basics of his novels. While equipment and tactics may change, the basics do not. Many characters and events are based on real life.
