Overview

The "Culture Day" story is inspired by Her Majesty Queen Rania's Al-Abdullah "The Sandwich Swap". Two girls, Besan and Emma, are best friends (BFFs) from different cultures. They were so excited about the school 'Culture Day', but they didn't accept their differences. They got into arguments and became upset and angry with each other until they learned how to respect others' differences. Those differences make us beautiful, and that diversity is good for us.

About the Author

Esraa Ghazo is an author based in New York, USA. She starts writing and publishing books to teach her kids all about her beautiful country, Jordan, while they are away in the US. Esraa’s bachelor's degree is in computer engineering, and she also got her master’s degree in industrial engineering from the US. She got the idea of writing from the many questions that her kids asked her about their native country. Esraa tried to find answers for her kids by searching for books and other resources, but she couldn’t find any useful books that showed this information in a friendly way that kids could absorb. So she started writing books and successfully published them. Her books have gotten a lot of positive feedback. Esraa is interested in cultures. Now, Esraa is working on another project for a kid’s story.
