About the Author

P. Edward Swan, CPA, is a certified public accountant and information systems specialist from Phoenix, Arizona, born on December, 4, 1969. He earned a BS in accountancy, with a minor in computer science and engineering from Arizona State University.

Swan served with the US Army Airborne Corps in the first Gulf War, where he developed tenacity and resilience, which drive his endeavors even today. In the Army Signal Core, Swan was introduced to information technology for the first time when he was trained to understand how communication signals are digitized and then routed through stacks of electronic components. His occupation in the Army was to maintain the stacks of electronic equipment needed to establish secure communications in support of battlefield operations.

In his professional career as a CPA, P. Edward Swan has spent more than two decades analyzing how information is encoded and processed via accounting and taxation systems. In addition, Swan has dedicated himself to mastering other information systems across a broad spectrum of disciplines including computer programming, mathematics, number systems, language, and logic circuits. In the future, armed with a comprehensive knowledge of the universal principles of information systems, Swan is determined to devote the remainder of his life to taking on the complex challenges that must be overcome to solve the problem of human aging.
