About the Author

Harold Q. Masur was born in New York City in 1909. After graduating from the N.Y.U. School of Law in 1934, Masur practiced until 1942 when he went into the U.S. Army Air Force and served in World War II. He started writing pulp fiction mysteries in the late 1930s. In 1973 he was elected President of the Mystery Writers of America.
