The bonus is that it will feel like you are receiving a virtual hug from your favorite Auntie. This really is a must read book. I grabbed the book because of its title "Dear Auntie Mame".....and I held on tight through every page!!! I absolutely LOVE AND ADORE this book. I can't wait for more in the series!!!

Simply Top Drawer! I literally downloaded this short novella - twenty minutes ago - and read it in my office. At least three times a co-worker popped in my office to see what all the laughing was about. Ms. Tobias has a keen sense for dispensing advice in a way that is thoughtful, thought provoking, and very funny. I mean she even references "The Women" - who does that today? It was refreshing to say the least. To quote the indomitable Mame Dennis: "This will calm you down."

Thoroughly enjoyed the read. Tobias' personal style, humor and sincerity are fully captured in her writing. In case you are wondering, dear reader, yes, the book does a really great job of capturing the experience of knowing her (but knowing her is so much more!). The format of the book, especially the delightfully frank, grounded responses to the questions, evoked The NYT's "The Ethicist" with Randy Cohen at the helm. The Times would be so lucky as to have Tobias as a columnist.

I am divorced woman, again in the dating world at 40 something... I found the letters to be amusing and VERY well informed. I could absolutely relate to some of the situations and felt the writing was done with a sense of understanding and a great deal of eloquence.
