About the Author

Shanda R. Dorff was raised by a very loving, hardworking mother who always encouraged her to follow her dreams. She decided at age seven that she was going to become a physician and never veered from the path while simultaneously embracing her creative side. She has written poetry for years and was first published in high school.

In her professional medical career, she specializes in comprehensive care for patients with complex, multi-system diseases. Her background in Family Medicine taught her the beauty and challenges of life through all stages and importance of family dynamics across generations and cultures. She adores spending her free time with her family, following along as her three children take on all of life's adventures. She enjoys cooking, art in all forms, exercising, swimming, nature, travel, animals, human rights, helping others, learning, the planet and beyond, but she most of all loves watching her children discover the world.
