About the Author

Ross Montgomery is the author of the picture books Space Tortoise, which was nominated for the Kate Greenaway medal and selected as one of the Guardian's best new books for children 2018, and Building Boy, both illustrated by David Litchfield. His debut novel, Alex, the Dog and the Unopenable Door, was nominated for the Costa Children’s Book of the Year and the Branford Boase Award. It was also selected as one of The Sunday Times' “Top 100 Modern Children’s Classics”. His books have also been nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Award. He lives in London with his girlfriend and their cat, called Fun Bobby. 

Sarah Warburton is an illustrator best known for her work on the Princess series published by Nosy Crow. She has also collaborated with Katharine Holabird on the Twinkle series published by Hodder. Twinkle Tames A Dragon was adapted into a musical by Vital Theater and was playing in NYC in 2016. Her publications include the bestselling Dinosaurs in the Supermarket (Scholastic), Dinosaurs in my school (Scholastic) and My Adventure Island (Scholastic). Sarah worked on the counting book Ten Delicious Teachers (Walker) with Ross Montgomery, which the Guardian highlighted as "funny and irreverent, it’s easy to imagine this one being a huge hit at school".
