Influenced by their recognition of the similarity in design of electronic circuit boards and patterns in ancient aboriginal art, the Tarlows explore how those views help better understand the changes occurring in today's high-tech world. Discussion also covers a world without rules, a new economy driving a new generation of freedoms, emerging behaviors that are changing the nature of business as much as the underlying technological changes, and new business strategies that lie "outside the box." Heavily rooted in New Age, pop-biz language, the annoying consultant psychobabble will likely drive pragmatic listeners, who have not been regularly reading Business 2.0 and Wired, to translators to decipher what in the world these authors are talking about. The overwrought catchwords, jargon, and clich s and the dull narration by the Tarlows result in an excellent example of the endless management guru fads that served as fodder in John Micklethwait and Adrian Wooldridge's successful The Witch Doctors.
