About the Author

Adriane Jones - Simmons is the founder of G.E.M.S. and Jewels Empowerment Group for Girls. She is passionate about guiding teens and tweens in recognizing their potential, building their self-esteem, embracing their individuality and preparing themselves for success. She is also a public speaker and a facilitator of enrichment workshops in schools, churches and community centers and the members of G.E.M.S. and Jewels. Adriane is the proud recipient of saving our Family and Children's 2009 Unsung Hero award, Wheeler High Schools 2011 Humanitarian Award and Spelman College's 2013 Women's Studies class' "Warrior Woman" award.
