4.0 out of 5 stars Ideas for a More Sustainable Home
Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2020
Have you ever considered having a more sustainable home-relying on yourself for necessities instead of outside interests or businesses-whether for certain aspects of living (like food or beauty products) or going all the way? This book, especially at first, feels like more of a survey of DIY sustainable home projects than the projects themselves. The author shares ideas, but not the specifics. In places here and there and more towards the end, the author does give specific instructions for how to, say, make compost tea or homemade Castile soap. The book is broadly divided into six categories, the longest of which is food; however, the author also looks at alternative energy sources as well as making health and beauty products (plus other topics). If you're interested in having a more sustainable home, this book might help you figure out which projects you want to give a try, even if you need to go to other sources to get the full directions.

Very nice concise homestead manual!

Have you every looked up diy homesteading projects on YouTube? Then this is the book for you! Not an exhaustive guild but it has most everything from *spoiler* raising chickens, bee keeping, biogas production, food drying, gardening , solar.....etc etc. I have bought book series like the Foxfire to obtain knowledge that you can find in this single book. If you are looking for a nice little concise guild look no further. You won't regret it.
