About the Author

As far back as she can remember, Carol Lea Benjamin has wrapped her life around dogs. A noted trainer, she is the award-winning author, illustrator of eleven books on dog behavior, including Mother Knows Best, The Natural Way to Train Your Dog and Dog Training in Ten Minutes as well as the Shamus Award winning Rachel Alexander and Dash mystery series, several children’s books and a memoir, Do Border Collies Dream of Sheep? In 2002, Benjamin was elected to The International Association of Canine Professionals Hall of Fame for “a lifetime of dedication to dogs and their training.” She lives in Greenwich Village with her husband, Stephen Lennard, and two dogs, Sky and Monk.
