About the Author

Don Troiani is well known for his extremely accurate historical and military paintings, scenes of great characters and grand action that defined the American Civil War. An expert researcher with an extensive library and impressive collections of artifacts, Don launched his lifelong career painting Civil War soldiers and battles and he has a special passion for the Gettysburg battles. His first book with Stackpole in 1995 was the highly successful Don Troiani's Civil War (70,000 copies). His ten titles published over the last 25 years and still in print have sold 200,000 copies.
