Overview

The cunning old Mexican manages to maneuver both of the small West Texas town's lawyers into defendidng his son who is accused of raping the beautiful daughter of the town's arrogant Anglo banker. The younger lawyer is a Christian prude, the older one is an Agnostic with loose and low ethical standards. Their ethical conflicts unfold into a story which chronicles the Christian conversions, mystery, suspense and bloody violence which attend the lawyers efforts to protect the legal rights of their client,all leading to high courtroom drama, sweeping to a surprising and thrilling end.

About the Author

Alfred Walker, a retired lawyer, has written three novels as well as numerous short stories. Several of the short stories have been accepted for publication in various periodicals, and thirty-two of them were self published under the title of A BIG NICKEL'S WORTH. One of his novels, WORMS THAT NEVER DIE, has also been self published.
