About the Author

Gone are the days when my parents told me "children should speak only when spoken to." In a world filled with bullies, school shootings and bombings, I believe children need to speak out now more than ever.

As a mom of two kids whose schedule can get a bit hectic with school, sports and other activities, I recognize that my children are not always within her watchful sight. This prompt me to teach them how to be watchful of their surroundings, just as I would, as a mom and a trained professional.

After completing a B.A. in Communications and my years of working for NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, educating families about various safety practices, I was inspired to turn my professional training and personal experiences into educational children books. I knows the importance of keeping not just parents educated, but kids too!!
