Overview

Expand and improve your double bass drumming abilities with this collection of beats and exercises designed to utilize the skills featured in the first Double Bass Drumming Explained book. Once you know the right techniques, the next step is to apply them to key exercises and real-world double bass patterns. The Workbook contains 300 different grooves and licks to give you a serious work out and a solid repertoire of playable patterns that are useful in actual musical situations.

Coordination, syncopation, shuffles, 16th note grooves, triplet grooves, 32nd note grooves, polyrhythms, a larger collection of blast beats, and more are covered in Part 2 of this unique series. All of the beats in this book are inspired by Ryan's experience as a drum teacher and professional double bass drummer or by the work of other notable double bass drummers from all over the world. This collection ranges in difficulty from easy warmup material to advanced patterns with variable note denominations and odd groupings.

Knowing how to set up and play the pedals is only the first step. Dive in to Double Bass Drumming Explained Part 2: The Workbook and develop your bass drumming skills further!
