About the Author

Katherine Lampe is a writer and musician based in Paonia, Colorado, home of fruit and coal. For fifteen years she was the host and producer of the Celtic music show, Whiskey in the Jar, on KVNF-FM public radio and for an interminable three years she was the flute player and bandleader of the abysmal Beat Smash Square, whose sole recording is thankfully no longer available. In 2005, she published a collection of fairy tales, Dragons of the Mind. Cat lover and Iconoclast, Katherine enjoys single malt whisky, good red wine and Indian food.
