Chapter One

Mission

My book is geared towards instilling confidence, motivation, and encouragement in little boys and girls as they travel down the road to success. Having a dream is the first step toward a goal. A vision is the set up for your dreams. By keeping a positive attitude and remaining focused, you will gain the patience and persistence that is needed to accomplish your goals in life.

My dream began when my grandma took me to the zoo one hot summer day. On that day, we walked around and saw many different animals. I saw some small and big animals. They were all amazing to look at. There were so many lions, zebras, giraffes, and alligators.

His ears are really big and long and his nose curves upward. Grandma, may I take him home?

Grandma said, "Papoose, if we take him home, where will we put him?" Oh, grandma, please, please, may we take him home with us? I can put him in my bedroom next to my bed. Grandma laughed. She said, "In the bedroom, Papoose!"

Papoose, we cannot bring him home with us, my Dear. Elephants are huge animals and they belong outdoors. There is not a room large enough in the house for him. Ok grandma, I can put him in the backyard!
