About the Author

Pedro Rosales-Diaz is a student, poet, and musician. Pedro was born in Seattle, Washington, but grew up in Beloit, Wisconsin. Growing up, he enjoyed being creative, whether it was through music or creative comedic short stories. However, during his time at Vanderbilt University, he fell in love with poetry. Through his Introduction to LatinX Studies course, he wrote a small collection of poems about a mother and son's journey of living in the United States, which started his passion for poetry writing. In Dreams Through Shadow and Light, Pedro reveals his upbringing by exploring queer love, mental health, and his LatinX identity. Dreams Through Shadow and Light is Mr.Rosales-Diaz's first poetry collection.
