Dusk of the Twin Suns

In Dusk of the Twin Suns, readers are thrust into the middle of the twenty-second century. It's a time when the now highly advanced Earth has established colonies throughout the nearest star system - Alpha Centauri. But just like back home, they don't all get along. The United States is in the midst of a bitter cold war with China, which has become more powerful and militaristic than ever.

For ordinary citizens, it's a challenging environment. Franz Beckhart is a burned-out Swiss robot operator who's spent his life drifting among the colonies, completing petty jobs. After hitting the bottle too hard one night, Franz finds himself responsible for a tragedy. Desperate to avoid punishment for his crime, Franz flees to the seemingly barren planet Neureus. There, Franz finds himself joining other rogues on a mission to examine a mysterious structure. But Franz soon finds that this exploration has put him in even graver danger.

As a British Army veteran, Intelligence Corps linguist, and IT professional, author Kevin Brennan leverages his military and technical expertise to devise authentic battles and technologies in this sci-fi future. Readers can fully immerse themselves in a vividly imagined glimpse of what the next century may bring.

About the Author

During the tense period of the Cold War, Anglo-Irish author Kevin Brennan was born in Germany. There, his father served as a member of the British Army of the Rhine. Growing up in this harsh setting instilled an internationalist perspective in Brennan, as well as a lifelong interest in global politics.

Brennan moved to England near the end of the eighties, where he became a college student, and after, a member of the British Army. Brennan later joined the Intelligence Corps as a Sigint linguist in GCHQ. He eventually left to pursue his passion for technology by working in IT.

Brennan applies his military and technical knowledge to create authentic scenarios in his books, which range from science fiction and fantasy to horror. With his unique style and voice, Brennan defies conventions of genre and literature.
