Follow the story of Dora, an eight year old girl who sets off on a journey with her best friend, Boots in order to find something interesting and adventurous in her life. She also carries her magical bag that talks and helps her in the journey. However, they cannot do this alone and need help from her viewers, who need to solve problems and face challenges presented to them.

You’ve got to feel bad for Swiper the fox. The one time he does something nice, like free a dancing elf encased in a magic jar, he himself is trapped inside. It’s up to Dora and Boots (with a little help from viewers at home) to free him. To accomplish this, they will need to know all the right moves, like going through a pyramid, crossing an ocean, and entering a dance contest at the Castle. The grand prize is the “one big wish” they need to rescue Swiper. As always, Map helps show the way, and Backpack provides the tools needed to complete each marching, rocking, and shaking step of the journey. This fleet-footed double-length episode provides Dora and company plenty of opportunity to “spin and jump, sing and dance, leap and twist and shout.” On Dora’s dance card are the Pirate Dance, the Ants in Your Pants Dance, and the all-inclusive Everyone Can Dance Dance. Dance to the Rescue is a mad-hot addition to the Dora library. This DVD also contains two bonus episodes from one of Nickelodeon's signature series, "Rescue, Rescue, Rescue!" and "Leon, the Circus Lion."
