While animation buffs bask in the Looney Tunes Golden Collection of classic cartoons, younger viewers will enjoy seeing their favorite Warner Bros. characters in new animated shorts originally unleashed on the Internet. Prior knowledge of Iron Chef, Judge Judy, Fear Factor, and Survivor helps, but it's not required to enjoy some intriguing match-ups, including a courtroom confrontation between Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner (with a surprising verdict!) or a cooking showdown between Elmer Fudd and Yosemite Sam, with a certain rabbit as the main ingredient. The animation is on a par with Warner's last-gasp 1960s cartoons, and the clever writing feels true to the Looney muse, when it's not straining to be hip. Cameos by second-tier Warner characters (check out the members of the ill-fated "Second Tribe" at the conclusion of the ten-part Survivor parody, "Toon Marooned") will evoke nostalgic chuckles from cartoon aficionados.
