"Jack Lemmon and James Garner star in the uproarious comedy My Fellow Americans. Warner's work on this 1.33:1 pan and scan transfer is lackluster at best -- while the image often sports solid colors and black levels, the transfer is presented in a cropped full frame transfer that features a softness in the image that is often distracting to the viewer. Though this is a passable enough image, fans will someday hope for a better presentation of this political comedy. The soundtrack is presented in a fine Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround sound mix in English. Directional effects and surround sounds are utilized often, especially when composer William Ross' music score kicks in. All aspects of the mix are free and clear of any excessive hiss and distortion. Also included on this disc are Spanish, French and English subtitles, as well as a Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround track in French and a Dolby Mono track in Spanish. Unfortunately, this edition of My Fellow Americans sports only a scant few extra features -- all that's included on this disc are a few rather funny bloopers and outtakes from the film, some scant production notes, and a theatrical trailer for the film."
