Overview

This production of Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker - with its Christmas themes and familiar tale of Clara's magical journey to the Nutcracker's kingdom -- originally aired on U.S. television in 1965. The legendary dancer Melissa Hayden performs the role of Clara, while Eddie Albert (The Longest Yard) narrates. The supporting cast includes Cynthia Gregory, David Anderson, Terry Orr and Virginia Johnson.
