Earning our Heavenly Wings was written to have an open discussion with children to have some understanding about death. Children form a strong bond with their family, friends, and pets; and they do not live forever. We must do our best to follow God's commandments in order to earn our way into heaven. It gives us great hope through the grieving process that God's promise of everlasting life will reunite us with our loved ones once again in heaven.

About the Author

Tammy was five years old when her father sat her down and had an upsetting talk with her. He said, “Tammy, everyone and everything will die, and one day I will die.” She never thought about it before and was devastated to hear this for she loved her father dearly. He didn’t die for many decades after their conversation. He tried to prepare her for the inevitable. Tammy misses her dad dearly but leans on God to ease her pain. Tammy continues to do good, help people, honor her parents, and share God’s promise through her books. She hopes to earn her heavenly wings to one day see her dad and ancestors again.
