About the Author

Denise Schreiber is a horticulturist and Greenhouse Manager for the Allegheny County Parks system (9 regional parks in the Pittsburgh area). She is a highly visible speaker and educator at local garden clubs, civic groups and parks-affiliated events. Each July she stages The Edible Flowers Food Fest, the largest event of its kind in Western PA. Her other persona is as “Mrs. Know-it-All,” a regular guest expert on the popular Sunday morning radio show, The Organic Gardeners, with 65,000 listeners(KDKA Pittsburgh). Denise is also a columnist for a number of regional garden and lifestyle magazines.
