About the Author

Courtney Spainhower began working in fine art as a ceramicist. However, as a stay-at-home mother, she discovered knitting—the perfect blend of child-friendly and portable while fulfilling her need to keep her fidgeting hands busy and creating utilitarian pieces. She began designing as Pink Brutus Knits full-time in 2009. Since then, Courtney has contributed work to many books, yarn company collections, and magazines, including Interweave Knits, Knitscene, Berroco, Inc., Taproot, and Pom Pom Quarterly. She released her first book, Family-Friendly Knits, in 2015.
