About the Author

Dr. Kalay Khan is presently working as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Sher-E-Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology, Shalimar Srinagar. He obtained B.Tech. (Agril. Engg.) from CCS University, Meerut. He obtained M.Tech. (Agril. Engg.J and Ph.D. (Agril. Engg.J from SHUATS, Allahabad. His field of specialization is Farm Machinery and Power Engineering. He has written one practical manual "Practical Manual on Farm Machinery and Power. He has published more than 15 research paper in national and international journals.

Prof. J. Dixit is presently serving as the Professor, Farm Machinery and Power Engineering in College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, SKUAST-K, Shalimar, J&K. He Obtained his B.Tech (Agril. Engg.J and M.Tech. (Agril. Engg.J from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar in 1995 and 1999. He obtained Ph.D (Agril. Engg.J from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2014. He also served as Head of Division of Agricultural Engineering at SKUAST-K during 2014-2017. He has published more than 60 research publications in national and international journals. He has been teaching Farm Machinery and Power Engineering courses to B.Tech (Agril. Engg.J and M.Tech. (Agril. Engg.J since last 18 years. He has also written 07 practical manuals catering to the needs of B. Tech and M. Tech students of Agricultural Engineering. He is the prime force for laying the foundation of Farm Machinery Testing Center in J&K.

Er. Padam Singh did his B. Tech Agricultural Engineering in 2006-2010 batch from Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology, CCS University Meerut. Later he joined Graduate Apprenticeship in 2010-2011 at Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute Hisar, Haryana. He did his M. Tech in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Er. Singh joined on the post of Assistant Professor, Ag. Engg., Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar, Uttarakhand in 2014 and Currently working at College of Forestry, Ranichauri, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. Er. Singh published more than 15 research articles, 1 book chapter, 1 Technical bulletin and 1 lab manual on farm power and machinery. He is a life member of ISAE, IEI, IAENG and AIASA.

Er. Mukesh Rana did his B. Tech Agricultural Engineering in 2008-2012 batch from Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering and Technology, CCS University Meerut. He did his M. Tech, in Farm Machinery and Power Engineering in 2012-2014 from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Er. Rana is presently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Agriculture, Doon College of Agriculture Science and Technology, Dehradun, Uttrakhand. He has written one practical manual "Practical Manual on Farm Machinery and Power". He has published various research paper in national and international journals.
