Embryo in the Womb is a short story (4,600 words) inspired by Leonardo DaVinci's drawing of Embryo in the Womb and the historical rumors that some art subjects may have been exhumed and stolen by grave robbers.

15th Century Italy: Orphaned Lucia has become a teenage grave robber, alongside her uncle Gianni who is paid well for their risky nighttime services. On this particular night, something went wrong that has left Lucia paying the price. Things aren’t quite what they seem, and Lucia’s night of terror will leave you looking at historical art in a whole new way!
