About the Author

D. Srinivasan, Ph.D., has been a Professor with Department of Chemical Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. Earlier he was with National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, Karnataka. With near about three decades of teaching experience, he has published 90 research papers in international and national journals of repute. He is the author of two textbooks Chemical Engineering Thermodynamics and Principles of Heat Transfer. Professor Srinivasan has also contributed a chapter on ‘Hazardous Waste Management’ in the Encyclopaedia of Environment. The author has visited the University of Missouri, Columbia, USA as a Fulbright Professor under the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship Programme and carried out advanced research in the field of environmental engineering.
