About the Author

Dave Miller homesteaded on the Kenai Outer Coast in Day Harbor in 1972. He continues exploring the Kenai Peninsula seacoast by small boat and kayak. The marine guide material and the travel tips in this book were compiled from his journals, travel logs, commercial fishing records, and recollections from more than 40 years of exploring, beach combing, and photographing wild and remote places along Alaska's North Gulf Coast.
Today, Dave and his wife Anne, a marine biologist, spend their winters in Northern California. In summer, the family fishes commercially for halibut and live at the Day Harbor homestead.
