FAMILY SECRETS: HOMESTYLE COOKING
I started this project in 1995 and worked on it for six years. It has brought many tears to my eyes, but more so, laughter and fond memories. All of the stories are of actual events and told through the eyes of a little or young girl. Pat and I were the closest of sisters. Ohma is still very much in my life even though so many years have passed. In 1954, we signed our names in our own blood to a handwritten document declaring us sisters. We have never wavered in our feelings or loyalty to each other. Ohma kept the document for forty years and recently returned it to me to keep for the next forty.
My grandchildren know that the word bored is a bad word in my house, and now they will understand why. I have never had a boring day in my life.
