About the Author

William MacLeod Raine was a British-born American novelist who wrote numerous adventure stories about the American Old West. In 1920 he was awarded an M.L. degree from the University of Colorado where he had established that school’s first journalism course. He passed away in 1954 at the age of eighty-three.
