Overview

The Disappearance of Uncle Zacharius Bobbs: a tale of relative reality, showing the alarming consequences of scientific progress in our human endeavors; and how a foolhardy scientist could really wreak havoc in the best of all possible worlds. Then, without wanting to create controversy and discord, I offer Adam & Eve Revisited: a story based on the Bible. But in this case, God is not a primal white beard entity, but rather the god of Spinoza and then there's 8 more....
Over the 40-year stretch of my publishing career, I mostly freelanced for publishers, for other people with their own set of restrictions, rules and regulations; I had to keep that in mind -while I composed, illustrated or translated works of literature. These restrictions always seemed arbitrary, depending solely on the country of publication, or the publishing house staff. However, if it is, then you must write it as it is -honestly, succinctly, using the appropriate language without adulterations, religious, political, and social preconceived notions.

About the Author

Born in 1949 in Montreal, province of Quebec, Robert Schoolcraft grew up enjoying the cartoons and films of Walt Disney, Marvel Comics, then moved on to Hergé and Uderzo. At the age of 15, he had read all the books of Jules Verne who would be a lifelong inspiration for his profession as a writer / illustrator artist. From a French Canadian family of 11 children, there was no opportunity to attend university and learn a trade, so he acquired knowledge and skill on his own initiative. As a teenager, he cultivated his mind with readings of all kinds, and perfected his artistic discipline with the help of drawings by Wally Wood, Jack Kirby, Will Eisner, Nortier, etc. As an officer in the Canadian navy, he designed the Spinnaker for the ketch, HMCS Oriole, and consoled himself by producing “cartoons” for a local newspaper. It was after leaving the Canadian Navy that his professional career took off: Already published in the 1970s, he was editor / letterer / comic strip artist for Éditions Héritage and Éditions Paulines and author / designer / artistic director of comics “Odyssey” and “Captain Cosmos”, based on the children's television show “Les Satellipopettes” and his popular science fiction adventure comic strip “Scooter Tremblay” published in the newspaper La Presse.

Robert Schoolcraft moved from Montreal to New York City, where he still works as a professional illustrator and graphic designer. In the United States, he focused his attention on, design, and advertising storyboards for television and the Internet. He also ventured into oil painting: portrait, figurative, and realistic. Clients included Prentice-Hall, Golden Books, Oxford University Press, Publications International, Municipal Police Institute of Boston, MS Books Publishing, and others in Canada, Europe, Australia, and the United States. In addition, Robert Schoolcraft published several fiction novels, including "Orimha the “Rock, "The Pirate and the Monk" and “Freedom Creek” and, most recently a retrospective story "Canadian Trilogy". His novels are often based on personal, or historical events, and share the theme "Humans as Citizens of Earth." ?
In 2021, Schoolcraft published a reworked comic book based on his series “Scooter Tremblay et Les Cavernes de Saint-Léonard”, in which the hero discovers a secret cave hiding extraterrestrials in the Saint-Leonard cave in Montreal.
