Overview

Harold is two inches tall, and lives as an orphan in his town’s only school, Galidemus. Like the other students in his class, Harold must catch a dragonfly to ride—but when the big day comes, he is faced with a risky decision. The outcome could change his future forever. After the fateful decision is made, Harold discovers an unlikely ally in one of his teachers, a horrifying truth about the identity of his parents, and a plot that could threaten everything he knows. Suspicious activity in Galidemus begins to rise—a mysterious student suddenly arrives, a foul smell develops in a locked classroom, and a disturbing creature lurks in another.

Far Below Human Eyes is the tale of a student who wants nothing more than to fit in but is given a different story. With the twists and turns of betrayal, the exhilaration of a dragonfly flight, and the testing of true friendship, Harold begins to realize that what is often most important lies far below human eyes—

And that often, between life and the things that give it meaning, only one can be kept.

About the Author

Annabelle Healy is 17 and loves to spend time in her fantasy world because high school AP classes and homecoming dances are too stressful. Her novels have received multiple awards including a gold medal from the national Scholastic Art and Writing competitions, placing her beside award alumni such as Stephen King and Truman Capote. She lives in Colorado with her parents and five little siblings. When Annabelle isn’t writing, she can be caught playing goalie for her soccer team, painting watercolor, attending youth group, and “dominating” the ping pong table (or so she says). In general, she lives by the rule to never stay in one world for too long—God made big imaginations for a reason. She can be found on Instagram @annabelle.healy.writing or on her website at annabellehealy.com.
