Worked as Scientist Pool (CSIR), 1982-83 at IIT Delhi; Assistant Engineer, 1983-86; Agricultural Engineer, 1986-94; Professor, 1995-2007 at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana; Project Coordinator of All India Coordinated Research Project on Farm Implements and Machinery, CIAE Bhopal, 2007-2012 (ICAR). Second best paper award by Fertilizer Association of India, New Delhi, 1986-87; ISAE Commendation Medal (Farm Power & Machinery), 1995-96; Punjab Chapter ISAE Commendation Medal for Research & Development, 2001; Innovative Student Project Award by Indian National Academy of Engineering, 2006; Institution of Engineers (India) honoured in recognition of Eminence and contribution to the Profession of Agricultural Engineering, 2009.
