One of the '70s' and '80s' most successful songwriters,
Garry Glenn didn't find the transition to performing quite as smooth, although he did enjoy some hits. But neither his debut album nor his first release for Motown (this one) managed to reach the same heights as any of the songs he'd written for everyone from
Anita Baker to
Eddie Kendricks and
Natalie Cole. A couple of songs did make the Top 40 on the R&B charts, but neither could go beyond that. ~ Ron Wynn
