About the Author

Rose Marie Echols graduated from practical nursing school in 1972. She practiced as an LPN (licensed practical nurse) for twenty years and later went on to receive a professional nurse degree as an RN (registered nurse) in 1992.

She has been an RN for 30 years. Her worksites have included hospitals, clinics, penal institutions (for youth and adults), residential homes, and industrial facilities (factories).
She currently lives in the suburbs of Chicago. After dedicating 50 years to nursing, she anticipates retirement in the summer of 2022.
