Jeff Lockyer is likely an excellent preacher who gives a great sermon. He clearly manifests his passionate belief in Jesus through his energetic pace and warm tone. Sadly, the very qualities that make for an excellent sermon do not necessarily translate well to a full-length audiobook. Additionally, Lockyer’s description of how he and his leadership team enlarged the scope of his church’s mission and vision may be so helpful for other churches looking to expand their goals that listeners may wish to take notes or highlight passages. But this is a difficult task when listening. Overall, this is interesting information for church leaders—but perhaps not in the best format. S.G. © AudioFile 2022, Portland, Maine
