Major challenges induce him to turn into a Superhero, (Superboy) who grows to become an adult, (Superman) who overcomes some of his childhood weaknesses.


The author, (Orlando Garcia-Piedra MD) asks his family ghosts: Mom, Dad and his brother, Humberto, and God for help in writing his memoir. They accept and become his coauthors, leading most "conversations."

About the Author

Born in Havana, Cuba on August 24, 1946, Dr Orlando Garcia-Piedra begins his writing career with this first book a childhood memoir, Finding Superhero in Havana. A world traveler, his education began at La Salle School in Havana, before moving abroad, first to the United States where he graduated from Miami Beach Senior High School, and then to Madrid, Spain, where he became a Doctor in Medicine. He lives in Florida with his wife Maria, their three children and six grandchildren.
